Stroud Subscription Rooms Overwhelmed By Demand!
As The Subscription Rooms workshops and classes fill up within a week of 2017 starting, the arts venue is putting a call out to experienced teachers and craftspeople to join them in providing a supportive environment to nurture the town’s creative talents.
Inhabitants of Stroud seem to be grasping the nettle when it comes to using the New Year to explore their creative and health potential, and 8 of The Subscription Rooms workshops and classes have sold out within a week of 2017 starting.
Bev Tanner, the venue’s interim manager is delighted that the classes, workshops and sessions are proving so popular; “we have worked really hard to put together a timetable of really diverse courses and sessions, with some of the best craftspeople and wellbeing coaches from Stroud. It’s great to see that they have been received so well by the town, over 150 people have signed up for classes this year”.
But the great success of the classes has inadvertently put the centrally located building in a difficult position, Bev explains further; “With a quarter of our classes already sold out, and the rest of our programme experiencing very high levels of interest, we’re need more tutors to meet the amazing demand - what a brilliant position to be in!”.
You can view all of the classes and workshops that the Subscription Rooms has to offer by picking up a copy of their brochure or by visiting www.subscriptionrooms.org.uk. If you are interested in putting on your own class or workshop at the Subs then please email Bev.Tanner@stroud.gov.uk
